Jammu, Apr 23: Discharging its social responsibility, a team of Jammu and Kashmir Police under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kousheel Koul today distributed rations among the slum dwellers at Kanachak and eatables among children during COVID-19 lockdown.
The drive was conducted on the direction of SSP Jammu Shridar Patil. After receiving information about the people facing difficulty due to shortage of ration, a police team led by SHO Kanachak and SDPO Domana reached Kanachak area where slum dwellers were living and distributed rations and other essential commodities among them. Police also provided their children with juice, biscuits, toffees etc.
SP Rural Suram Singh while talking to Early Times said that besides distribution of rations among the people, police have been creating awareness among the people in rural areas about the coronaviurs and advising them to follow guidelines including keeping social distance, and staying at home. |
