AKWS continues ration distribution among poor families

Jammu, Apr 23: Asha Kiran Welfare Society Janipur Colony, Jammu continued its drive of providing ration among needy with the motto to serve the poor.
Today the society distributed ration items to more than 150 families from Shivalikpuram, Krishna Vihar and Anandpur Mohallas in Janipur housing Colony, Jammu.
The society also gave masks to more than 300 people of the area. The ration items were provided to families of local people mainly auto and matador drivers, helpers working in shops and widows. Dr J P Gupta, Chairman said that more than 400 families have been provided ration by the society during the lockdown period. He thanked all the members of the society who came forward for providing financial help/free ration to the needy people.
Those who donated generously included Sunil Vaid, Kamal netar, Anil Kohli, Rakesh Nischal, Hari Chand Sharma, Subash Dutta, Ramesh Lal, Vinod Kumar, Uma Singh, and others. President of the society Dr Vikrant Sharma in his message advised the general masses to follow the Government instructions of social distancing and help Corona warriors by staying at home. Dr Sharma extended thanks to the volunteers and members of society who are extending help to the poor and needy.
