EARLY TIMES REPORT

Reasi, Apr 23: A poetry in Dogri, ‘Nassi Duniya Lagi Ae Touna’ has been making the rounds on social media for the last few weeks now. The dogri poem has been written and recited by Abdul Qadir Kundria who is an employee of State Motor Garages Department in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Abdul has written numerous poems in Dogri, since developing a taste in writing. He is been associated with Dogri Sanstha since last 25 years. Hailing from a remote area, Kundra Bhabbar of district Reasi, Kundria has been into poetry for the last 35 years now.
“Whether I write a dogri poem or a Hindi poem I first writing them in Urdu as it gives me a sense of pride, that I am bringing two different cultures in a melting pot,” said the poet.
This beautiful poem has been shared by many on social media including International Dogra Society of London and many local online news portals. Under the guidance of Prof. Ram Nath Shastri and Kuldeep Singh Jandraiya “I learnt how to frame my words and make it more readable. I have been to many poetry conferences that were telecasted on Doordarshan, and even worked with Prasarbharti Radio Kashmir,’’ shared Kundria.
The poem in its verses gives a loud and clear message that how important it is to stay at home at the moment and how fatal not following the orders given by authorities could be. The poem is quirky along with an awareness message attached to it. People on social media gave it a positive response for its deep and meaningful nature.
