Central Body JKTF seeks fulfilment of pending demands

Jammu, Apr 23: Central Body members of the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) today sought fulfilment of long pending demands of teaching fraternity. A telephonic meeting of the Central Body members of the JKTF was held today under the chairmanship of its chairperson Ganesh Khajuria in which various burning issues of the Teaching Community of the UT of J&K were discussed which are left unresolved since a long for the reasons best known to those who are at the helm of the affairs which has caused a dismay and resentment among the various cadres of the Education Department. After the threadbare and detailed discussion, Ganesh Khajuria urged upon the worthy Principal Secretary to Govt, School Education Department, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon to personally look into the long pending just and genuine demands of the teaching community and take the necessary steps to resolve these issues at the earliest.
“The Masters working as Head Teachers in the upgraded middle schools under the Centrally Sponsored Flagship (erstwhile SSA) Scheme are without the sanctioned posts since last more than one decade hence adding fuel to their hardships”, they said, adding that the forum requests for the creation of the posts of masters under State Plan/Non-Plan scheme after going through the process of Rationalisation on the pattern of the headmaster and Masters of High Schools upgraded. He said that a large chunk of masters and lecturers are working under surplus category in the schools. “The FORUM requests to adjust all the surplus Lectures and Masters at the earliest in order to provide the Teaching Staff as per the requirement of the students in the schools”, he added.
The telephonic meeting was attended by Yog Raj Slathia, Surat Singh Toofani, Darshan Sharma, Jamayat Ali Agah, Rajinder Gupta, Ravinder Singh, Gopal Singh, Kuldeep Bandral, Haji Mohd Iqbal, Raj Singh, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Kuldeep Verma, Sushil Sharma, P. D. Singh, Sham Badyal and Gautam Singh.
