Army provide ration kits to BPL families

Mendhar, April 26: Indian Army has always been known for its ethos, values and traditions of highest order.
Be it times of crisis, any natural calamity or normalcy, our Army has always been on forefront and has forever stood to next to their fellow citizens. The professional and humane face of Indian Army is well known and is always praised and commended.
As part of Operation Namaste launched by the Indian Army to assist the Awam in times of distress caused due to Corona Virus Disease-2019 (COVID-19), Indian Army Unit at Samote under the aegis 15 Sector Rashtriya Rifles and Counter Insurgency Force (UNIFORM) carried out a Ration, Hygiene and Sanitation Kit distribution in the Unit’s area of responsibility April 25 to 27 2020. Kit distribution to the 350 underprivileged and BPL families was carried out incorporating NGO GOONJ, which is a pioneer NGO in disaster relief, humanitarian aid and community development all across the country. The Ration, Hygiene and Sanitation Kit was distributed to the poor and needy populace, keeping in mind the difficulties being faced by them during COVID-19 global crisis.
