| Two more militants killed as Qazigund gunfight ends; toll 3 | | |

Kulgam, Apr 27: Two more militants have been killed in an encounter at Lowermunda village of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, taking the death toll of militants to three.
A senior police officer said that the operation has been concluded with the killing two more militants at Lower-Munda Qazigund. “With the killing of the militants the death toll reached three”.
The identity of the militants is yet to be ascertained as operation is underway, the officer said
Earlier, a joint team of army, SOG and CRPF following a specific information had launched a search operation. As the joint team of forces intensified the searches the hiding militants opened fire triggering off an encounter
Meanwhile, in wake of the encounter, the authorities have blocked internet services in entire Kulgam as a precautionary measure. |
