Srinagar, May 11: Fresh warning has been issued for isolated thunder, lightening with 30 kmph to 40 kmph gusty winds during the next four days in Jammu and Kashmir while partly to generally cloudy sky has been predicted for Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Mirpur in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) during next 24 hours.
A Met department spokesman said on Monday issued a warning that there could be isolated thunders, lightening and gusty winds in the Kashmir valley, Jammu region till May 15. There is no such warning for Ladakh region, he said.
Muzaffarabad, capital of PoK received 16 mm rainfall followed by 6.1 mm each in Gilgit and Baltistan during the past 24 hours till 0830 hrs on Monday.
He said there could be partly cloudy sky to very light rain an thundershowers and the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 23 degree and 11 degree respectively during the next 24 hours in summer capital, Srinagar, where lock down continued due to COVID-19.
Winter capital, Jammu will witness mainly clear sky to partly cloudy and the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 36 degree and 22 degree respectively during the next 24 hours.
He said there could be generally cloudy sky to very light rain and thundershowers and the maximum and minimum temperatures would be 20 degree and 5 degree respectively during the next 24 hours in Leh.
The Spokesman said there could be partly cloudy to generally cloudy sky in Gilgit, Baltistan (Skardu), Muzaffarabad and Mirpur in PoK during the next 24 hours.
