DDC Doda hands over medical equipments to CMO

DODA, May 27: With an aim to ensure the availability of basic health care medical equipments in the peripheral health institutions, District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, today handed over important medical equipments to the health department Doda in the conference hall of the DC office Doda.
On the occasion the medical equipments which are handed over to the health department includes oxygen concentrators, pulse oximetres, suction machines, Nebulizers, oxygen flow metres, oxygen nasal pipes, artery forceps besides other important medical items. "The availability of medical equipments in the health care institutions are as important as the big physical health Infrastructure, hence strengthening of the same is the basic and prime agenda of the district administration with main focus on the peripheral health institutions of the district", DDC said. The DDC directed the CMO Doda to evaluate a mechanism through which these medical equipments will be further distributed to the different health care institutions in the peripheries where these are urgently required. He also asked CMO to maintain the record of the distribution with utmost priority. He also informed that the same medical equipments were already placed in various Covid care centres and Covid care health centres established across the district to effectively deal with the menace of Covid-19 infection. The district administration has also provided two advance hi-tech ventilators to AH GMC Doda during the ongoing fight against Covid-19.
Meanwhile CMO Doda extended gratitude to the DDC for providing the number of important medical equipments for the peripheral health institutions of the district, through which basic treatment of the general public particularly living in the remote areas of the district can be effectively ensured.
Others who were present during the occasion were ACR Doda Kaiser Ahmed Bhawani, CMO Doda Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, District Health Officer Dr Tariq Masood, District Epidemiologist Umar Anayat Khan besides other officials of district administration.
