SKUAST-TAJ sanitizes varsity’s main campus Chatha

JAMMU, June 4: In view of COVID-19 scare, SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) under the leadership of its president Dr Vikas Sharma conducted a day long massive sanitization drive in which the Main Campus Chatha of SKUAST-Jammu was sanitized. President SKUAST-TAJ Dr. Vikas Sharma informed that keeping in view the COVID-19 pandemic and recent developments i.e., detection of two corona positive cases at Main Campus led to the closure of the Chatha Campus of the Univerity till 7th June 2020 for carrying out massive sanitization drive and awareness.
“Besides Directorate of Extension, Office of the Dean Basic Sciences, Examination Cell and Administrative Block that comprised of VC Secretariat, Registrar office, Comptroller Office and Directorate of Research, almost all the eleven Faculty Blocks that constitutes 14 Departments of Faculty of Agriculture and 04 Departments of Faculty of Basic Sciences at Main Campus Chatha were fully sanitized by SKUAST-TAJ in this a day long massive sanitization drive”, said President TAJ Dr Vikas Sharma. However, the left out departments like Division of Entomology, Division of Food Science and School of Biotechnology will be sanitized tomorrow, he informed. Dr Vikas stressed that the objective of this massive sanitization drive is a preventive measure to regulate the spread of COVID-19 and to enthuse the spirit of hygiene and cleanliness among staff members of SKUAST-Jammu.
