Jammu, June 28: Ch Manmohan Singh, President All India Jat Mahasabha J&K and former Mayor Jammu along with many Sarpanchs and prominent members of the community on Friday visited Nowshera and met the families of Mohinder Lal of village Kalsian Tehsil Nowshera, who is seriously injured and under going treatment at GMC jammu and also lost his wife Veeran Devi who died on spot due to 11000 volt main cable falling on their domestic power line causing high voltage and short circuit. While interacting with the media persons he stated that the damage has occurred due to sheer negligence of concerned PDD department in which the poor and infirm family suffered huge loss in term of life and property. He urged the govt to institute an enquiry to pin point the responsibility of the incident, he also stressed upon for sanction of min compensation to the tune of rupee 10.00Lakhs and a Govt. Job to the faimly member. Choudhary also talked to Chief Engineer PDD Gurmeet Singh on telephonically raised the issue of purely negligence of the department instead of silver wire department fixed Iron Crate wire, HT Line and LT are going in the same pole and tie with CHEER tree, department also fixed Chapels with the tree to avoid current. CE assured that he would send a competent authority to check the ground reality.
Choudhary called up an emergency meeting of prominent members, Sarpanches and volunteer youth of community Nowshera to discuss the issue and arrange immediate financial help to the victim family. To start the disaster relief fund for the poor family and needed community members, Choudhary himself paid Rs. 20000/- for the welfare of family.
