Kishtwar police files chargesheet against 10 OGWs, 3 militants, blocks bail option

Jammu, June 28: After much uproar over the grant of default bail to terrorist Dy. SP Devinder Singh in a case related to NIA, the Kishtwar police expedite the case file with regard to grant of necessary sanctioned from J&K Home Department and thus timely filling of chargesheet before the competent court block the chance of default bail for the OGWs booked by Dachhan Police earlier this year.
As per the details available with Early Times, Kishtwar Police on Saturday files charge-sheet before the Court of 3rd Addl. District and Session Judge TADA/POTA Jammu in FIR No 01/2020 U/S 3/25,7/25 IA ACT 13/18/19/20/23/38/39 ULA (P) Act of P/S Dachan. The case was registered on 02.01.2020 on the basis of a reliable information that accused persons namely 1) Mohammad Hassan S/o Dulla Gujjar R/o Gujjar Kothan Dachhan (2) Saddam Hussain Wani S/O Mohammad Amin Wani R/O Suid Dachhan (3) Ghulam Nabi Chopan S/O Abdul Aziz Chopan R/O Trungaie Dachan (4) Bashir Ahmed Mangnoo S/O Lal Din Mangnoo R/O Khripakhnoo Dachhan (5) Wali Mohammad Sheikh S/O Ghulam Mohd Sheikh R/O SewarbattiA/P Dangduru Dachhan (6) Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh S/O Mir Zaman Sheikh R/O Dangduru Dachhan (7) Yasir Hussain S/O Gul Mohammad Dar R/O Danghduru Dachhan (8) Khazer Mohammad Sheikh S/O Habib Sheikh R/O Dangduru Dachhan (9) Bashir Ahmed Sheikh S/O Abdul Gani Sheikh R/O Sewarbatti A/P Dangduru Dachhan and (10) Zahoor Ahmed Butt S/O Sannaullah Butt R/O Lorna Dachhan through underground network are associated with banned organization Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and the said persons are harbouring and providing transportation and other logistic aid to the militants.
It has also been learnt that the said persons are managing meetings with an active militants namely (1) Mohammad Amin @ Jahangir Saroori S/O Mohammad Anwar R/O Saroor Kishtwar (2) Mudassar Ahmed S/O Tariq Hussain Gianoo R/O Tander Dachhan and (3) Riaz Ahmed S/O Mohammad Ramzan R/O Renie Marwah for carrying out terrorist activities in the area by plotting conspiracies.
The said persons are also providing information with regard to the security forces to the militants for carrying out attacks. On this, the instant case was registered and investigation set in motion. During the course of investigation, arrest of the 9 accused was made and they were put to sustained interrogation and on their instance recovery of Rifle 12 bore, 25 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition, 05 number of posters of militant outfit HM and photographs of temples was made from made from some of the accused persons. Accordingly offence U/S 3/25, 7/25 were incorporated into the case. After completing all codal formalities and covering all aspects of investigation, the investigation was finalized as challan and requisite Govt. sanction was also obtained to launch prosecution against the accused persons. Proceedings U/S 82/83 have separately been initiated against the involved active terrorists.
Speaking to Early Times, senior official in Kishtwar police inform that senior official followed personally the cases pertaining to militancy at various to ensure that these terror operators or their supporters find no roam to take the advantage of the law added that timely completion of investigation led to timely filling of Chargesheet in Court of law.
It is pertinent to mention that Kishtwar police has booked nearly 50 OGWs in various FIRs register at police station Kishtwar, Marwah and Dachhan and majority of them are still languishing in jail for their active role in harbouring and supporting the terror.
