ABVP condemns govt on max qualification for recruitment in Class IV
7/16/2020 11:55:57 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, July 16: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Kashmir strongly condemned the government for keeping 12th as maximum qualification for recruitments in Class IV level. Addressing a press conference here today at Vidyarthi Bhawan Ambphalla, ABVP Jammu Kashmir State Secretary Mukesh Manhas asserted that the decision of UT government for setting maximum eligibility criteria (12th class) for appointment to Class IV jobs is injustice and unfair with the educated youth of Jammu Kashmir. By doing so, the government is playing with the youth of Jammu Kashmir and depriving them of their fundamental right. He further said those who have more than 10+2 qualification, how the government can deprive them of their eligibility right for Class IV Jobs in the pretext of their higher qualification.
He said that setting minimum eligibility criteria is good and quite justifiable while setting maximum eligibility criteria is revealing the callous and non-serious attitude of the government towards the highly educated unemployed youth of Jammu Kashmir. The whole Jammu Kashmir has witnessed an era of turmoil for so many years and has already been deeply plunged into unemployment. Setting of 12th class as maximum eligibility criteria for appointment to Class IV jobs will further deepen the unemployment crisis in the UT by depriving a large segment of unemployed youth possessing graduate and post-graduate degrees from not filling forms for Class IV jobs.
ABVP Jammu Kashmir demands that the government should rollback its decision and revoke the maximum eligibility criteria (12th Class) for appointment to Class IV jobs with immediate effect and should allow all the candidates fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria.
