Amid COVID crises, BSNL pays no heed to pathetic services in JK
Parents, students, people working from Home rue telecom’s anti- customer approach

Jammu, July 16: Amid the COVID 19 crises and restrictions on high speed internet in Jammu and Kashmir, officials at State Owned BSNL continue to take thousands of customers for a ride, leaving them in dire straits in more ways than one.
There is a mounting anger of people quite visible on social media with those who have BSNL landline and Broadband connections ruing over the pathetic services of the telecom company in Jammu and Kashmir and how their repeated complaints are falling to the deaf ears. “There is absolutely no one to listen here. You complain and then wait that your grievance could be addressed on priority keeping in view the need to have an internet amid the present criss and work from home practice. However, the officials of the BSNL aren’t not even giving a damn to your pleas and they just leave at the mercy of the situation,” says one aggrieved customer from JK’s Sumer capital- Srinagar.
Scores of parents who have availed the BSNL broadband for the online classes of their kids are also ridiculing the pathetic customer care of the BSNL and how bad services are rousing the roost in the company with customers who pay hefts sums are left in lurch at large. “Every month, I pay more than 1500 as a plan for my internet connection. However, it is so pathetic to find that for no more than 5 to 6 days remains the internet functional. For the rest of the period, it remains out of bonds,” says a BSNL broadband subscriber.
The parents of the kids who had availed the internet facility for the online classes of their kids are also terming the situation more precarious than ever. “Every body is aware of the fact that how pathetic is the BSNL and its functioning. However, it was due to the suspension of high speed mobile internet that we had availed the facility for the online classes of our kids. However, believe me the internet functions so pathetically that we are done with this type of loot. I am surrendering why connection,” says another aggrieved subscriber from Srinagar’s Lal Bazar area.
Meanwhile, at the official level, the customer care of the BSNL is. not working at all. It is only a computer needed message that pops up when you try to register a complaint at the designated number like 1500.
There are also allegations that the officials of the telecom are least bothered to address the complaints on priority.
