| NC leader slams PHE Deptt for water scarcity in Kishtwar, failure to act | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, July 18: Senior National Conference leader and party District President from Kishtwar Tanveer Ahmed Kichloo today slammed the PHE department Kishtwar for its failure in providing adequate drinking water to the inhabitants of Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas.
Kichloo said that people’s patience is eating up due to continuous failure of the department in mitigating the drinking water problem of Kishtwar District.
NC leader said that despite spending crores of rupees on various water supply schemes, the water crises in Kishtwar is worsening day by day forcing the people to choose agitational path.
Kichloo said that people are regularly approaching him regarding non-availability of drinking water and threaten to come on roads as PHE department fails to address the problem. NC leader alleged that no official is listening to the people and whenever the people visited the PHE office, the officers were either unavailable or gives hollow assurances to the people.
Kichloo warn the PHE officials to address the stage managed water crises in Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas before people’s anger spills on road.
He also asked the DC Kishtwar to fix the responsibility on guilty officials who are involved in creating the water crises in Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas due to its inefficiency and non-serious approach towards this burning issue.
