Jammu, July 28: To commemorate ‘World Conservation Day ’, Govt. Degree College Ramgarh organized an Inter College Essay Writing Competition through online mode today. The competition was organised under the patronage and guidance of the Principal, Prof.(Dr.) Meeru Abrol, GDC Ramgarh. Students from various colleges of J&K UT participated enthusiastically in this event.
The results of the program were declared today in which the first prize was bagged by Shikha Sharma, GDC Ramgarh; Poonam Sharma , B.M.S. Institute of Paramedical Sciences was awarded second prize while Pinky Sharma, AV Institute of Medical and Nursing Sciences clinched the third prize. The three Consolation prizes went to Seema Devi,GDC Ramkote; Diksha Thakur,GDC Majalta and Deep Shikha ,GDC Samba. It was announced that Merit e-Certificates shall be sent to all awardees. E-Certificates of participation shall also be given to encourage students to participate in such events. The aim of celebrating world conservation Day is to come together and support nature , don’t exploit it. Conservation of nature is the wise management and utilisation of natural resources. So, it is important to raise awareness among the people to understand the importance of saving resources,recycle it,preserve it and also understand the consequences of damaging it and for the next generation, it is necessary to preserve the natural resources. |
