| Chain snatching incident crops up at Jagti camp | | | EarlyTimes Report
JAMMU, July 28: In a broad day light an incident of chain snatching took place at Jagti camp near here today. Eye witnesses said that two unidentified youth whose faces were covered with masks all of a sudden appeared in a Lane on a bike and snatched the golden chain of a woman identified as Meenu Raina wife of Rahul Raina R/o Block No 21,Flat No 12,Lane No 4 who at that time was going to purchase some vegetables from a near by shop when the incident occurred. The bikers flee the spot and police has registered a case to nab the accused. Taking the strong note of the matter Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner for migrants J&K,Jammu T K Bhat has expressed his anguish over the issue and immediately shot a letter vide No RRCM/P&S/2020-21/59-60 to Superintendent of Police Jammu urging thereby to provide adequate manpower to police post situated in the Jagti colony to ensure foolproof security to inmates of the camp and their belongings, the letter reads. Meanwhile people have expressed their grave resentment over the incident and termed it a lackadaisical approach on the part of the police manning the colony.Police must exercise its efforts to apprehend the culprits before it is too late said a camp inmate Veena Vikas Bhat while talking to EarlyTimes .
