81580 golden cards issued under Ayushman Bharat in Rajouri
DC reviews performance of Health Deptt at DHS meeting

RAJOURI, Aug 27: The Health department Rajouri has issued over eighty one thousand golden Cards among the eligible beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat scheme.
“As many as 81580 golden cards have been issued to the beneficiaries under the scheme and 303 claims have been paid so far” Chief Medical Officer said at the District Health Society(DHS) meeting held here today. Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh(Chairperson of the Society) chaired the meeting of the Society members, convened to take stock of the achievements with respect to various Health Schemes being implemented by the health department in the district and the key issues impeding the smooth delivery of health services to the common masses.
The health programmes and schemes being implemented in the district are National Health Mission, Ayushmaan Bharat, RBSK, National Tuberculosis elimination programme, Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis programme etc. Issues pertaining to shortage of staff and augmentation of health infrastructure were also discussed in depth.
The Chief Medical Officer, while giving details of the achievements under National Health Mission, which is an ambitious programme of Government of India to provide accessible, affordable and quality health services to the public, informed that 183075 OPDs, 617 major surgeries and 3430 institutional deliveries were performed upto ending July during the financial year 2020-21.
About the implementation of National Tuberculosis elimination programme, it was highlighted that against the target of coverage of 900 beneficiaries in the financial year of 2020-21, 364 patients have been covered under the programme by ending July and an amount of Rs 5.87lakh has been paid to 286 patients out of 364.
The Deputy Commissioner also took a comprehensive review of the other important schemes and programmes being implemented in the district. He asked the concerned officers to ensure the effective implementation of all health schemes at to benefit the general public.
He also called for generating massive awareness among the masses about these schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers from health department to ensure cent percent coverage of all the eligible beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat by making them aware about its benefits by organising special camps. He asked them to gear up field workers to motivate the pregnant women to go for the institutional deliveries to ensure the safe birth of their babies.
The Deputy Commissioner also appreciated the efforts of the officers and officials of the health department in ensuring the effective management of COVID19 in the district.
