9/1/2020 11:47:42 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 1: Slamming the administration of Cluster University, Jammu for huge fee structure fixed to bleed the innocent students, National Secular Forum expressed its anguish and resentment against autocratic attitude of Cluster University Jammu towards students seeking admission in M. Ed course.
This was stated by Papinder Singh State sr. Vice-President, National Secular Forum, in a press conference addressed in his office today. He said that the fee for 3rd and 4th semester for M Ed has been fixed and charged from students at the rate of Rs. 22720 whereas Rs. 10920 is being charged from students in University of Jammu for doing 3rd and 4th semesters in M. Ed.
Papinder Singh said that there seems no authority above Vice Chancellor Cluster University Jammu to control the arbitrary style of functioning and charging exorbitant fee for M Ed course which is much higher as compared to University of Jammu for the same course, he assailed, adding that Cluster University Jammu is subjecting the students of M. Ed to great injustice and unnecessary financial burden.
Questioning the justification of charging higher fee, Papinder Singh asked as to why there is no uniform fee structure in Cluster University, Jammu on the analogy of University of Jammu for students.
He add that Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu is also holding the charge of Vice Chancellor, Cluster University Jammu and he seems ignorant of injustice being done by Cluster University for charging higher fee for M Ed course unabated under his nose as against the lowest fee structure for similar course in Jammu University, Papinder Singh added.
Papinder Singh appealed to the Lt Governor, who is Chancellor of University to take cognizance of the matter and issue necessary orders for uniform fee structure in Cluster University Jammu on the lines of fee being charged from M. Ed students in University of Jammu.
