| DDC Rajouri reviews performance of Education Sector | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Sept 9: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the performance of the Education department in the district.
The meeting was attended by Chief Education Officer, Gulzar Hussain and Zonal Education Officers.
The DDC reviewed the Mid Day Meal Scheme being implemented through PRIs in the district, the status of disbursement of the ST/Pahari scholarship among the eligible students, construction of school buildings and issues related to school dropout rate in the district.
While reviewing the scholarship schemes, the DDC asked for covering the eligible left out students in the special camps being organised on the block Divas as part of Janbaghidari Abhiyan. He asked the concerned officers to fulfill the codal formalities for registering the entitled students for the scholarship in these camps.
The DDC also directed for clearing the pendency with respect to scholarship disbursement for the financial year 2019-20 within two days and the pendency for the financial year 2020-21 by 15th September, 2020. He asked the concerned officers to ensure that quality education is provided to the students through online classes being held by the department amid COVID19.He also asked the Officers to direct teachers to organise community classes in the far flung areas.
The DDC also directed the ZEOs to personally monitor the school building projects to complete the same at the earliest. |
