| Residents of Lamberi facing water scarcity | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Sept 9: Jal Shakti Department employees failed to render their services due to which the residents of Lamberi area in Rajouri district face hardships amid shortage of potable water. The residents have appealed to the concerned district administration to streamline the line department employees who have reportedly ignored the plight of residents in their respective areas of deployment.
Jal Shakti Employees posted in their areas never deliver their services and don’t pay attention towards the sufferings of the residents, the residents said and alleged that they are hardly seen on their duties and even they are witnessed any time by luck they ignore the genuine will of residents. “Damages and faulty water pipe lines take months to get repaired and mended as the employees posted in the areas ignored their services despite repeated pleadings,” social activist, Novel Sharma said and added, “They don’t pay attention even towards their line of work and force people to suffers for even months.”
“The posted Jal Shakti employees are local residents and ignored the plight of residents because they know that no local will complain against them as they are known to them,” he said and citied this of the reasons for water scarcity. “The Jal Shakti employee posted in our area are very negligent and fail to attend suffering residents.” Sharma said that locals of Lamberi are forced to walk miles bare foot to fetch water for drinking and household chores.
