BJP a party of principles, internal democracy: Kavinder Gupta
9/10/2020 12:43:00 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 9: Former Deputy Chief Minister & Senior BJP Leader Kavinder Gupta in a statement said that the BJP is the only party with principles and internal democracy and said that that every member of society is dedicated to the society with the “Sense of service, balance, patience, coordination, positive attitude, sensitivity and dialogue “the seven points that are followed by every worker.
“This is the only party where a booth-level worker like me can become Speaker of legislative assembly & Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, booth level worker like J. P Nadda can rise through the ranks and become national president and son of a tea vendor can become Prime Minister,” Gupta said.
Criticizing Congress, Gupta said “A party that can’t ensure internal democracy cannot safeguard democracy in the country,” he quipped while emphasising that this was key difference between the BJP and the Congress, whom he also accused of corruption & scams during their rule in the country. “There was Rs 18 lakh crore worth of scam during the UPA government but not a single case has taken place since the BJP government lead by Narendra Bhai Modi has come to power,” he claimed.
Former Dy. CM said in its 60 years of rule, the Congress can hardly boast three achievements whereas the Modi government has taken 100’s of important decisions, including the abrogation of Article 370 & 35 A from J&K, Nullifying Tripple talak system surgical strike, GST and demonetisation. “BJP governments take decisions that are good for the country and its people,” said Kavinder Gupta.
Gupta alleged that in the six decades of Congress rule in Centre, the previous Governments in the state of Jammu and Kashmir there was no development saying that it was lack of the will and desire to deliver to the people of the country and erstwhile state in particular. After BJP came to power in centre and, J&K has witnessed an Era of development and many centrally sponsored projects and institutions have been given to Jammu and Kashmir. He said Modi ji has a special concern for the people of state, which can be witnessed from the facts that every project promised by Modiji for J&K has been granted and approved.
He urged the workers to strengthen the hands of BJP at grass root level and strengthen the hands of J.P Nadda national President. He said that BJP is a cadre based party which was formed on principles unlike other political parties attending to their own selfish mottos. He claimed that, keeping the aim of “Nation First, Party Second and Self Last” in his mind while serving the society, every activist of party should be committed to the welfare of Nation.
