DDC Reasi Inaugurates DLIZ Cricket Tournament U-19

Reasi, Sept 9: District Level Inter Zonal Cricket Tournament U-19 years was inaugurated by Indu Kanwal Chib, KAS, District Development Commissioner Reasi in a simple but impressive function.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms Indu Kanwal Chib discussed the importance of Sports for well being of individual even in this pandemic situation and aware them about ill effects of drugs. She also make announcement to provide sports materials worth Rs 20000/- to every panchayat out of Rs 10 lakh earn marked for B2V3 Programme of District Reasi.
Earlier Subash Chander Sharma, DYSSO Reasi in his welcome address apprised the Chief Guest about the details of the tournament in the discipline Football, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Badminton w.e.f. 31-08-2020 to 26-09-2020 conducted by the Department of Youth Services & Sports Office Reasi.
The tournament is being organised as a part of Annual calender of activities by District Youth Services & Sports Officer Reasi as per the directions of Dr Saleem ur Rehman, Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K and kind consent of Smt Indu Kanwal Chib, KAS, Deputy Commissioner Reasi.
All the Standard Operation Procedures was strictly followed during the conduct of the tournament.
The inaugural match was played between Reasi Zone and Mahore Zone. Reasi won the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first Reasi scored 115/3 in stipulated over, Nasser Hussain & Ayush scored 47 & 13 runs respectively while Shabaz lone wicket taker for Chassana Zone in reply Chassana zone all out at the score of 83 runs and lost the match by 32 runs. For Chassana , Shabaz & Bashir scored 31 7 13 runs respectively while Ajay & Ayan took 3wkts & 2 wkts respectively for Reasi Zone
