JTC continues hunger strike on third day

Jammu, Oct 4: The hunger strike launched by Jagti Tenement Committee in favour of their demands continued for the third day.
The Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC ) and Soan Kashmir Front J&K went on hunger strike in Jagti township yesterday under the leadership of its president Shadi Lal Pandita.
Shadi Lal Pandita president Jagti JTC , Soan Kashmir Front and convener PCC Migrant Cell J&K said that the hunger strike was started to turn the attention of Union Government towards the demands of the displaced Pandits so that their voice can reach the ears of the UT and Central Governments.
He demanded the monthly relief should be enhanced from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month as the livelihood of the relief holders is not met in this era of inflation.
Raj Kumar Tickoo president of JTC ‘s Jagti unit and convener of Soan Kashmir Front and Sunil Koul, general secretary said that the Government should provide one Job to each migrant family where there is no employee for which a package of 20,000 Jobs should be given.
Out of these 20 ,000 posts 5,000 Class VI posts should be given to those who could not send their children for higher education after matriculation due to poverty.
S L Pandita and the other members of the organizations who are also on hunger strike said that the Government should provide free ration to pensioners whose pensions are very low.
Raj Kumar Tickoo ,Sunil Koul, kashi Nath Bhat, Inder ji Labroo, Shuban Krishan Raina, Rakesh Amberdar, O N Raina, Ramesh Ji Bhat, S L Kar, vijay Bakshi, Ramesh Suri, Babloo Ji and others were present there.
