Anantnag, Oct 4: A doctor, who was transferred last month, has managed to get his transfer order modified within nineteen days.
According to documents available with Early Times the Health and Medical Education Department on September 10, 2020, issued an order No. [687-JK(HME) of 2020] to effect the transfer of around three dozen doctors.
A doctor, figuring at serial number 6, was also transferred from a primary health center to Konibal, Pampore. However the doctor refused to join at the new place of posting and instead lobbied to get her transfer modified.
Exactly after nineteen (19) days, the Health and Medical Education department issued an order [755-JK (HME) dated 29-09-2020 and transferred the doctor to block Khansahib according to her choice.
“The doctor didn’t join the new place of posting and instead asked that she be shifted to the medical block Khansahib,” revealed sources.
Another doctor, who was also transferred to District Hospital Budgam, was also shifted to medical block Khansahib.
This isn’t the first time that a doctor has managed to get the transfer ordered modified or revoked. On several occasions the officials who issue the transfer orders of doctors have ended up modifying or revoking them. |
