Corporator Suneet starts blacktopping of road at Ward No 9

JAMMU, Oct 4: Corporator Suneet Raina kick started blacktopping work on the road in Karan Nagar Ward No 9 in presence of former MLC Ramesh Arora fulfilling the much awaited demand of residents.
While inaugurating the developmental work, Corporator Suneet was accompanied by Ashwani Charak, President Karan Nagar Welfare Committee. He said that this was a long pending demand of locals and JMC is committed to address all the demands of the people of Jammu. Corporator Suneet said that parallel developmental works are undergoing in Ustad Mohalla and Jambulochan and on the similar pattern public demands are being met by the administration, he said while taking stock of the undergoing works. He asked the executing agencies to carry out the developmental work with quality material and required thickness of blacktopping and also appealed to people to report if substandard material is used in the works. On the occasion people present apprised him of various issues and put forward several demands to quick redressal including renovation of road connectivity, proper drainage system, adequate water supply and other demands. Suneet after giving keen hearing to the demands assured the residents that their demands will be taken up to the administration for early redressal. “All the public demands will be met as soon as possible,” Suneet said and appealed to the people to cooperate with the JMC in carrying out diverse developmental works and at their level ask the encroachers to retrieve back the encroached land to JMC so as to save themselves from official court of law. He also reviewed the status of other public amenities available to the public. Corporator Suneet along with other dignitaries also visited adjoin areas and took note of necessary interventions required to upgrade the basic infrastructure in the localities including constructions of lanes, drains, roads and drinking water. In the wave of Covid-19 pandemic, Suneet appealed to the general public to adhere to SOPs and follow guidelines and take preventative measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Kamaljeet Singh Khalsa, Dinesh Sharma, Neeraj Katooch, Munish Sharma, Deepak Kumar and Madan Kumar were also present.
