DIPR hosts cultural event to highlight B2V3

JAMMU, Oct 7; Cultural Unit of Department of Information & Public Relations, Jammu today organized a cultural programme to highlight the importance of “Back to Village” phase III here in the office auditorium Rail Head Complex, Jammu. Cultural activities including Dogri Nukar Natak besides Dogri and Punjabi Lok Geet were presented on Back to Village III, at the function. The chief guest- Joint Director Information, Namrita Dogra, while speaking on the occasion said that B2V3 is getting overwhelming response from the people who are thronging the events with full enthusiasm.
“People have become quite aware of the government’s development efforts through its Back to Village programme and they are taking advantage of it,” she maintained. She stressed on the need to organize cultural events on a regular basis to keep it alive for posterity. ‘Our composite culture and traditions are globally known and recognized. We need to preserve and conserve it wholeheartedly. Such cultural events aptly highlight our cultural heritage and traditional legacy,’ she said. She also highlighted the works of the artists of the Jammu saying that ‘we have good talent and we need to hone it further.’ Cultural Officer, Jammu, Parul Khajuria and other officers/officials were present on the occasion.
