Early Times Report

RS PURA, Oct 7: President District Youth Congress Jammu Rural, Er. Neeraj Choudhary along with youth of Suchetgarh constituency held a candle light march at RS Pura to pay a rich tribute to brave heart late Rifleman Shubam Sharma on behalf of the proud nation. Shubam was martyred along LOC in north Kashmir on October 1.
Choudhary said that late Shubam Sharma was directing his own retaliatory fire from a forward post on the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara District, in response to an unprovoked Ceasefire Violation by Pakistan. “Rifleman Shubam Sharma laid down his life in the line of duty as a result of a direct hit by enemy fire and succumbed to their injuries,” Er. Neeraj Choudhary said.
In this hour of grief, Pradesh Youth Congress along with youth of Suchetgarh Constituency salutes all the brave hearts and their sacrifice and stands in solidarity with the bereaved families, Youth Congress leader said.
Choudhary demanded Rs 1 crore as ex-gratia and government job for a member of the deceased family.
“One kin should be granted a job and family should be compensated adequately,” he added.
Youth hailing from several villages of RS Pura composed of Haripur, Shakhian Chak and Fathuchak also participated in the candle march.
