AJKPC president inaugurates Rs 2.75 cr tube well

Jammu, Oct 7: Anil Sharma, Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Jindrah and president All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference today inaugurated a tubewell in his Panchayat along with senior officers of the Jal Shakti (PHE) department.
The estimated cost of Tube Well at Jandrah under Water Supply Scheme Jandrah-Ist under NABARD was Rs 274.50 lakh. The Tubewell would cater the drinking water needs of around 600 to 700 families who were waiting for it for over 7-8 years.
The foundation stone of the scheme was also laid by Sarpanch Anil Sharma during his previous term as Sarpanch of Jindrah.
Sharma thanked the Chief Engineer of the PHE department besides Superintending Engineers, XEn, AEE and other field staff of the department who worked tirelessly to construct this tube well project.
The villagers also thanked the department and Sarpanch and other Panchayat members for providing a sigh of relief to them.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarpanch requested the people to utilize water judiciously as it is the most precious natural commodity thus it’s the collective responsibility of even human being to save each drop of it.
Besides the Prominent people of the area including Onkar Singh, Ganga Dutt Sharma, Chandermoli Sharma, Haji Rafiq, Fazi Chodwary, Anju Bala, Gulzar Bibi, Sat Dev Singh, Deepak Kumar, Dewan Chand, Rajinder Singh, Sardar Ali, Keemat Raj, Parshotam Singh and senior officers of the PHE N K Tripathi JE Jal Shakti (PHE) Department Sh. Jagdev Singh J E Mech. Jal Shakti (PHE) Deptt. also present on this occasion.
