Govt constitutes committees for implementation of online guidance for students

Srinagar, Oct 7: : Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday constituted Apex Level Committee and District Level Committee for implementation of “Online Guidance” for students in the UT through web application.
According to an Order No. 929-JK (GAD) of 2020 dated 07.10.2020,
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of Apex Level Committee and District Level Committees for district of Ganderbal and Udhampur, for implementation of Online Career Guidance for students in the UT of J&K, through web application of Transformation Foundation”.
The Apex Level Committee, as per order, comprises of a chairman and eight members which includes Administrative Secretary, School Education Department as its Chairman while Administrative Secretary, Higher Education Department, Director School Education Jammu, Director School Education Kashmir, Director Skill Development Department, Director Finance School Education Department, Project Director Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and Representative of IT Department (not below the rank of Additional Secretary as its members.
“The committee shall monitor the implementation of career guidance for students in the Union Territory of J&K, through web application on monthly basis”, order reads.
District Level Committee of Ganderbal includes Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal as its Chairman while Chief Education Officer Ganderbal, Principal District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) Ganderbal, Two senior most Zonal Education Officers of the district as its members.
Similarly District Level Committee of Udhampur includes Deputy Commissioner Udhampur as its Chairman while Chief Education Officer Udhampur, Principal District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) Udhampur, Two senior most Zonal Education Officers of the district as its members.
The committee shall monitor & motivate students for availing benefits of the program and report weekly progress with respective Director(s) of School Education.
