Farooq Abdullah’s China remark ‘seditious’: KHCWT
10/15/2020 12:13:15 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Oct 14: Kashmir Hindu Cultural Welfare Trust (KHCWT), Bengaluru strongly condemned the statement of former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir Dr Farooq Abdullah threatening to approach China on abrogation of Article 370.
KHCWT said that the statement of Dr Abdullah came at a time when there is serious threat by China in Ladakh on LAC; it is definitely a calculated design to disturb peace as well as create confusion in the valley and to instigate violence against Kashmiri Pandit community.
Therefore, the timing as well as the sinister plan of working hand in glove with our enemy Pakistan in tandem to seek support is definitely serious and real, it added.
At this moment if Farooq Abdullah gives contradictory statement and ignites passion; his design is mischievous; reprehensible and extremely dangerous, said the KHCWT statement, adding that being a Member of Parliament and Former Union Minister as well as Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah and his son; have taken oath in accordance with Indian Constitution.
So, this statement which is in public domain is unacceptable and nothing but treason and sedition.
KHCWT appeals that the Speaker of Lok Sabha must immediately initiate ‘Suo Moto’ action and issue notice to Farooq Abdullah for violating the oath. He must be asked to explain his statement.
If necessary, a special session be called to discuss this issue in Parliament and then punitive action be taken.
We call upon the Election Commission to withdraw recognition of the National Conference as a Political party invoking necessary sections of the Representative of the People’s Act after due process.
