Early Times Report

Udhampur, Oct 14: Activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Udhampur today staged a protest against the recent selection list of the fire brigade and demanded its immediate cancellation, in which they soon warned of a mass movement.
Protests were held under the leadership of BJYM District Udhampur President Sushant Gupta, alleging major disturbances and rigging in the fire brigade service recruitment. The protests organized outside Venus Chowk. BJYM volunteers who shouted slogans against fire and emergency recruitment lists besides demanding stern action against the corruption officials involved in the entire scam. Speaking on the occasion, BJYM District President Udhampur said that it is extremely unfortunate and shocking how corruption and brokerage are prevalent in the recruitment process, due to which deserving youth are being deprived of their right to get jobs. He warned that if the so-called recruitment list of the fire brigade would not be withdrawn or canceled soon, the BJYM would launch a massive agitation against this injustice, in which deserving but deliberately dropped youth could be brought to justice. He said that a high-level inquiry into this recruitment scam should be conducted and all those involved should be sacked and punished to set a strong example for fair recruitments in future.
