Ramban admin holds public outreach program

RAMBAN, Oct 14: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today presided a mega public outreach programme under “Block Divas” initiative at block Sangaldan and listened to public issues, grievances and demands of locals.
Similar camps were also chaired by the SDM Banihal, Zaheer Abass Bhat in Sub-division Banihal and ACR, Ramban, Dhirendra Sharma, presided the programme at Rajgarh.
BDC Chairperson, Sangaldan, Navida Begum, SSP Ramban, Haseeb-Ur-Rehman, ACD, Zameer Ahmed Rishu, CMO Dr. Mohammad Fareed Bhat, Tehsildar Gool, Xens PWD, PHE, PDD, PMGSY, CHO, DSHO, CAHO, PRIs and other officers and officials of various departments attended the meetings
The DDC took stock of progress on development works being executed by the different departments in Block Sangaldan, besides taking appraisal of local issues.
The DDC highlighted the objectives of the programme and informed the public that these grand public campaigns are aimed at reaching out to the people for redressal of their grievances and addressing developmental issues at their doorsteps.
The locals thronged the venue in large numbers and apprised the officers about their grievances and sought early redressal of the same. The DDC patiently listened to their issues, grievances and demands and assured of redressing the same at an earliest.
People from Panchayats of Sangaldhan including Seripura, Famrote, Tetharka, Dalwa, Chachawah A&B , Sumber, and other adjoining area apprised the DDC about their demands. They demanded holding of Cams for issuing Domicile certificates at Seripura, resolving water supply problem at Seripura, check on overcharging of fare by passenger vehicle operators , transformer for Tetharka Panchyat, adequate staff in school and health institutions, opening of more Agnanwari Centres, Office building for BDC chairman and sarpanches, irrigation kul, old age pension to all eligible persons of the area, handloom centre, employment of local youth in railway project and construction of Bus stand at Sangaldhan.
After giving a patient hearing to their issues, the DDC issued on spot directions to the concerned officers to resolve their genuine problems and demands on priority basis.
DDC directed Tehsildar to organize camp at Seripura to provide on the spot Domicile and other certificates to the public. He directed the agriculture department to achieve 100 percent target in PM- Kissan.
Later, the DDC distributed Domicile and category certificates among the beneficiaries of various villages.
