Jammu, Oct 14: With the aim to further promote Dogra Culture in the rural areas and in collaboration with Ministry of Culture Govt. of India New Delhi, Bhartiya Kala Sangam, Jammu today held well prepared programmed based on folk dances festival in Reasi Sujandhar which was witnessed and applauded by a manmoth gathering.
On this occasion, Darvinder Singh (Sarpanch) was the Chief Guest and Parlad Singh presided over the function.
Besides T.R. Sharma and Romesh Singh Chib Chairman and Director respectively of Bhartiya Kala Sangam (Regd.) were also present on the occasion.
Director Bhartiya Kala Sangam expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Culture Govt. of India New Delhi for support to organized the programme without rich it may not have not been possible.
While addressing the distinguished gathering Darvinder Singh (Sarpanch) lauded the efforts of Bhartiya Kala Sangam (Regd.) to promote and develop Dogri Folk Dances festival besides making the younger generation to understand and to come closure to our heritage values. He said that values of culture cannot be glossed over as it is very necessary to keep people of different faiths, religion and communities in one bond of togetherness.
Earlier, while welcoming the audience. T.R Sharma Chairman gave a brief account of various activities carried out by Bhartiya Kala Sangam (Regd.) which started its journey in the year 1980.
