Jammu, Oct 14: President Sainik Samaj Party, JKUT welcomed the Union Government decision’ to give cash in lieu of LTC and Rs 10000/ as special festival advance to center government employees, which will provide, strong impetus to consumer demand and finally boost economy’ He urged central government to show the same empathy towards, veterans of Armed Forces and central /State government pensioners. Pathania said that though one is aware of the government’s constraints of funds, due to Covid 19, However government has been successful in gi1ins the stimulus package and revive the economy to great extent. GST collection of August,which is approximately 96000 crores’ is almost same as on August 2019 and strong indicator of reviving economy. lt is a known fact that one’s income goes down substantially post retirement and there is no comparison between serving and retired pensioner, in terms of pay packet and rerated perks and privileges.
Freezing of DA has adversely affected the income of pensioner and they are finding it difficult to make both ends meet. A soldier retiring at an age of 36, having two to three children finds it extremely difficult, to fulfill his ‘obligations to include children education, social and religious aspects. |
