Lawyers Action Committee to hold dharna today in support of demands

JAMMU, Oct 16: The Action Committee constituted by the Practicing Advocates in High Court and Subordinate Courts in Jammu held its meeting today to chalk out further strategy for the resolution of issues of lawyers resolved in yesterday’s meet of lawyers.
In yesterday’s meeting, the lawyers had demanded opening of all courts for physical entry to lawyers and public and resume physical hearing besides they also sought acceptance of hard copies of cases, opening of locked Bar Rooms of lawyers, provision of stamp papers and tickets within court premises through stamp vendors, opening of Consumer Courts, shifting back Registry of Documents to Judicial Officers and withdrawal of contempt initiated against the lawyers.
The Action Committee decided to carry ahead the struggle for these issues. It was decided to hold one day Dharna tomorrow in support of the issues.
In today’s meeting prominent participants were DS Saini (Former President of Jammu Bar), JA Kazmi and Chander Shekhar Gupta former vice presidents, H C Jalmeria, Sabodh Singh Jamwal, Manohar Gupta, BR Sharma, Bansi Lal Sharma, Kunal Singh Chib, Surjit Singh Andotra, Amit Gupta, Mohd Shakir Hussain, Bhavishya Sudan, Atul Raina, Kamal Magotra, Upasna Thakur, Vikram Chanotra, Moti Sharma, Deepali Sharma, Jatinder Singh, Manav Sharma, Ajay Singh, Parshant Jijyal, Ajay Singh Manhas, Divya Ishan and OP Sarangal.
