DDC Kathua reviews arrangements for upcoming ‘My Town, My Pride’ programme

KATHUA, Oct 16: District Development Commissioner, O.P Bhagat today chaired a meeting of officers to review arrangements for ‘My Town, My Pride’ to be held on 19th-20th October in 6 municipal units of the district.
At the outset, the DDC informed that the inaugural ‘My Town My Pride’ programme is going to be held at Kathua Municipal Council and Municipal Committees of Basohli, Billawar, Hiranagar, Lakhanpur and Nagri-Parole.
The DDC impressed upon the executive officers and concerned departments to educate public about maiden urban outreach programme ‘My Town My Pride’, so that maximum number of people can register their grievances and demands besides availing public services of different departments. He further directed the departments to install stalls at the venue with provision of on spot public services and information on government schemes and programmes.
The DDC also reviewed the status of individual beneficiary schemes and pendency of public services of different departments.
He directed the concerned to ensure saturation of pensions, scholarships, PMAY, KCC, Health Golden Cards, Ladli Beti schemes in their respective municipal units before the start of programme.
He instructed officers to make all out efforts to complete the ongoing works so that the same can be dedicated to the public during the two day event.
ADC Billawar, Sandesh Kumar Sharma; ADC Basohli, Tilak Raj Thapa;, CPO Uttam Singh; ACD Narayan Dutt; besides SDM Hiranagar, XEN PWD, XEN Jal Shakti, Assistant Director FCS&CA, Executive Officers of Municipal Committees Basohli, Billawar, Hiranagar, Lakhanpur and Nagri Parole and representatives of banks attended the meeting.
