Always played Kashmir card as a disputed territory for their vested interests and garnered a suitable vote bank on the cost of gullible masses of both divisions with impunity. They exploited the religion card also which create a wedge among various sections of society resulting a wave of so-called freedom armored struggle came into being in early days of 1989-90 which created mayhem and coercion amongst minorities viz Kashmiri pundits, Sikhs, and nationalistic people belonging to Muslim community forced displacement and migration of 3.50 lakhs people took place form vulnerable areas of entire state.
