11/3/2020 11:36:24 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Nov 3: Expressing deep shock over the arrest of an ex-serviceman for hoisting national flag on a government owned flat in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu some days back, the Panthers Party said the action reflects the kind of dictatorial administration people are facing in J&K today.
The Women Wing of J&K National Panthers Party convened an urgent meeting here today under the leadership of General Secretary Anita Thakur. In a strong resolution, the Panthers Party challenged the detention of a former naval official, Amandeep Singh of Nanak Nagar, Jammu by police.
The members were informed that Gandhi Nagar Police Station sent its policemen to the house of ex-serviceman Amandeep Singh and dragged him to the police station.
Anita Thakur has called an emergency meeting of all the lawyers associated with State Legal Aid Committee, J&K and requested Prof Bhim Singh to take up this case in the Supreme Court to expose and oppose the kind of dictatorial administration people are facing in J&K today. She said if this is the condition of Indian citizens in Jammu what kind of situation Indian residents are facing in Kashmir province.
Anita Thakur has also appealed to the State Legal Aid Committee, J&K headed by Prof Bhim Singh to take up the matter before the Supreme Court to expose the present rulers. She also demanded immediate and unconditional release of Amandeep Singh.
