Accused namely Aadil Ahmad Dar and Waseem Rehman Dar, both the residents of Ashmuji Kulgam, who were arrested within three hours after complaint was received by District Police Kulgam, are behind bars,” police said in a press statement.
Police said that they have registered a case with FIR No.116/2020 U/S 341, 366, 376/511, 354, 323 IPC at Police Station Devsar and said that the charge-sheet of the case will be produced before honorable court within stipulated time. The girl was found in a semi-unconscious state and was shifted to hospital where she was referred to Srinagar hospital for treatment,” a group of villagers including victim’s relatives, who held a protest demonstration in Kulgam against the incident, said.
