SC/ST/OBC Students Federation stages protest against SWD

Jammu, Nov 3: SC/ST/OBC Students Federation held protest against Social Welfare Department and also submitted memorandum to Divisional Commissioner Jammu. The protest was led by social activist Vikas Badhoria and Ajay Lakhotra. Vikas Badhoria said that the administration doesn’t pay attention to grievances of SC/ST/OBC students and discriminate them. As the new session is started and admission process begin still students doesn’t got their scholarship in their account. Further Badhoria said as the world is suffering from COVID pandemic and financial conditions students belongs to these downtrodden community is not good and the scholarship is only the source to fulfill their educational requirements so he requested administration to kindly pay attention to grievances to the students of downtrodden community. While addressing media Ajay Lakhotra said that the behavior of social welfare department is not good with the students and they rejected the form of students for irrelevant reason .
The scholarship is the only source for some students to continue their students and delay in the scholarship led to the disruption in their scholarship. Lakhotra warned the administration that if the administration doesn’t solve their grievances with in time then for SC/ST/OBC students federation held protest in front of Raj Bhawan too.
