DEO Ramban inaugurates three days training programme for ROs, AROs

RAMBAN, Nov 5: District Election Officer (DEO), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today inaugurated the three days training programme for Returning Officers (ROs), Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) to ensure smooth conduct of upcoming District Development Council (DDC) elections besides Panchayat and MC elections on vacant seats in the district.
He gave necessary instruction to the ROs and AROs with regard to their duties and responsibilities during the election process and stressed upon them to work in coordination to get best results at ground level.
He asked ROs to remain more vigilant and prompt to their duties and remain in touch with the District Election Office for timely coordination.
He also directed all concerned to go through the election hand book for attaining more knowledge about the election process.
The DEO also discussed other issues including notification, process of polling, sealing of ballot boxes, reservation for women etc.
The DEO directed the Health department and all the ROs and AROs for both MC/ Panchayat by-election and DDC election to strictly implement the COVID-19 SOPs during the election and counting process.
During the training program, all ROs and AROs were imparted training by the master trainers about their role and responsibilities during the polls.
