DODA, Nov 5: A mega drill was today held here at Sports Stadium and at Barath road as a part of preparation for Disaster management and response.
The Drill to be held for two days has been organised by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in collaboration with National Disaster Response Force team.
The event was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode, who is also the Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority, while a huge gathering of people were also present during the program.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that conduct of the mock drill very important in this area due to its topography which is hilly and prone to earthquakes and landslides.
Meanwhile, the SDRF teams along with NDRF team and health department gave demonstration on the evacuation of the trapped people in the eventuality of earthquake and landslide. |
