SAMBA, Nov 5: District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria today convened a meeting of district officers to finalise the arrangements for holding ‘Diwali Mela’ in the district. During the meeting Chief Planning officer, Sukhleen Kour, Assistant Commissioner Development Sidharath Dhiman, District Social Welfare officer, Deep Kumar, chief medical officer Rajinder Samyal besides officers from Handicraft & Handloom, PWD, PHE, Horticulture, sericulture, agriculture, J&K Bank and others were also present. Addressing the meeting, District Development Commissioner, Samba informed that district administration is going to organise a Diwali Mela in the district complex samba on 9th and 10th Nov for generating awareness about the Govt schemes among the general public. The DDC directed that each department shall place its stall at the allocated location and showcase the services provided through the department. |
