| JU organises webinar on Gender Sensitisation | | |

JAMMU, Nov 12: The Centre for Women's Studies, University of Jammu started with a webinar cum workshop series for the month of November 2020 on the theme 'Gender Sensitization and Gender Awareness' to train various stakeholders on the issue of gender and create awareness on various related concepts.
The first webinar was on the theme 'Gender in School Education and Gender concerns in NEP 2020"which was organized in collaboration with Directorate of School Education for the school teachers and was delivered by Prof. Vibhuti Patel, Former Professor, Advanced Centre for Women's Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences(TISS), Mumbai.
The Second webinar cum workshop was organized today on 11th November 2020 on 'Gender Sensitization' in collaboration with Women Development Cell of Government Degree College, R S Pura. The Resource person was Dr. Swati Dyahadroy,Faculty, KSP Women's Studies Centre, SP Pune University, wherein she spoke about the concept of gender and averred that how the concept of gender is constructed through dynamics of relations and structures. She further gave in depth details about how inequalities are located in everyday life through gendered divisions of labour and gendered roles.
