SAMBA, Nov 12: Assistant Grading and Marketing Officer, Anuj Verma today inspected rural women's self-help group food processors of Gaghwal Samba.
The self help group led by Champa Jasrota Gurrah Jatta Gaghwal Samba is preparing different varieties of pickles, apple chutney and Indian Gooseberry and marketing the same, successfully with a good packaging in bottles along with proper labeling, branding & FSSAI certification.
The same is an idle example of a project under Atamnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan - Local for Vocal, made possible with integrated efforts of JKSRLM Samba, Horticulture Department Samba, KVIC and Department of Horticulture Planning & Marketing Samba under guidance & overall supervision of Rohit Khajuria Deputy Commissioner Samba.
AGMO Samba said that the Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing under guidance of its visionary Director Imam-ud-Din is reaching upto rural folks and providing best possible post harvest management assistance viz., Value Addition of agricultural products and providing proper guidance about packaging, labelling and branding with a good marketing linkage. Sh. Naveen Choudhary Principal Secretary to J&K Government has been taking keen interest in implementing Atam Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, fully, in J&K through a number of new farmers friendly initiatives like e-NAM, MIS for apples, Direct Markets, ODOP, value addition of all agricultural products. |
