| Influential officer overstaying at Distt Admin office Rajouri | | Assigned several charges by sidelining others | | RAJESH TANDON

RAJOURI, Nov 18: An influential officer posted in the District Administration office Rajouri, has allegedly been overstaying in sheer violation of transfer policy and has been assigned several charges by overlooking other officials.
Sources told Early Times that the alleged officer has been posted at the same place for over a decade now and become so powerful that no works can be done without his approval. They further alleged that he has also adjusted his relatives in the departments and extended them benefits. “He has helped his relatives to make them contractor’s licenses and helped them to allot works. He has become authority and issues many orders on his own. He is giving a boost to corruption,” they alleged.
They further said that he has defied his transfer order several times making a mockery of the system and took stay every time from the court to remain at his favourite place. “He is dominating the entire office and never lets anybody do any work without his consent. Even his boss also feels helpless in handling him,” they informed.
Although there are clear guidelines for transferring an employee after 2 years and not more than three years but in case of this official, the transfer policy doesn’t apply and has been enjoying his stay without any hindrance, they alleged.
When contacted, DDC Rajouri said that he is aware about the prolonged stay of the officer in contravention of the transfer policy, adding that keeping in view of this he has sidelined him from several assignments. |
