| DDC election preparations finalized, first phase election on 28 Nov | | |  Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Nov 26: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Ramban, Harbans Lal today convened a meeting of Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates besides concerned police officers deputed for 1st phase of the District Development Council (DDC) and Panchyat by-election in 3 DDC constituencies of two block including Ramsoo and Khari block.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Rajni Sharma, ACR, Dhirender Sharma, Dy. DEO, Lal Chand and various officers from police and civil administration attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion ADC informed that DDC and Panchayat by- election is going to start in 8 phases and all are set to conduct the election to be started on 28 November in the district. In the first phase the polling would be held in three DDC constituencies of two blocks including 2 in Ramsoo and 1 in Khari, he added.
He said that the district administration has finalized all the adequate arrangements for the polling. The ROs and other election staff have been deputed to conduct free and fair elections.
ADC said that all the ROs and AROs are sending from district headquarters with election material towards their block headquarters for 1st phase of election.
Whereas the security arrangements have also been put in position to ensure free and fair election besides avoiding any untoward or disturbance during the election process, he added.
He also appealed to the voters to come out and use your franchise in the DDC election for choosing the local level representatives for the betterment of their respective areas. |
