ADCs Jammu reviews Gurupurab arrangements

JAMMU, Nov 26: Additional Deputy Commissioners Jammu Ghanshyam Singh and Satish Kumar Sharma jointly chaired a meeting of officers from various departments and members of District Gurdwara Parbandak Committee to review the arrangements for smooth celebration of Gurupurab, here today.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of district administration besides the functionaries of JMC, PHE, PDD, Health, Members of District Gurdwara Parbandak Committee and other concerned.
The ADCs had a detailed review of the arrangements being put in place by various departments including transportation, water and power supply, sanitation, medical facilities and other basic amenities in and around Gurudwaras in the district during the celebration.
They asked the Traffic Department to ensure proper management and regulation of traffic to avoid inconvenience to the devotees. Similarly, Police department was asked to ensure adequate arrangements of security by deploying additional police personnel.
ADCs asked the Health department to ensure adequate Medicare and keep standby emergency ambulance services at the venues of major congregations.
They directed the JMC to ensure cleanliness, availability of mobile toilets on identified places besides in and around Gurudwaras. The PHE and PDD Departments were asked to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply along with additional water tankers at the main venue.
It was also informed that devotees can pay obeisance from 10 am to 4 pm at Chand Nagar Gurudwara and all the SOPs regarding Covid-19 shall be followed.
They also called for interdepartmental coordination and impressed upon functionaries of concerned departments to put in place all necessary arrangement well in time for the smooth celebration of the event.
