Shun rhetoric say what Jammu got: Rana tells BJP
12/2/2020 11:35:32 PM
Early Times Report

NAGROTA, Dec 2: Asking BJP to shun rhetoric and stop playing to the galleries, National Conference Provincial President Mr Devender Singh Rana today wondered what Jammu got during the past five years.
“A lot of hue and cry is being raised over non-issues by the so-called star-campaigners of the BJP during ongoing District Development Council polls without speaking a word about the real issues that have caused immense concern and apprehensions among permanent residents here, particularly with regard to their identity, jobs and lands” , Rana said while addressing roadside public meetings in Block Mathwar of Nagrota Assembly Constituency as part of campaign in favour of Somnath Khajuria, District Development Council candidate from Nagrota .
Posing a direct question to the BJP propaganda brigade, Mr Rana asked if checks and balances, as also other safeguards can be strictly adhered to in various states across the country like Himachal Pradesh why the BJP is shying away from instilling a sense of confidence about lands and jobs to the people of Jammu. False assurances and fake promises have proved hollow with one after another measures being announced almost every next day. These have generated a lot of apprehensions among the permanent residents, especially the residents of Jammu who are going to be immediate victims of anti-Jammu policies because of the region being in close proximity to the neighbouring states. He said Jammu youth will be the worst sufferers with already meagre jobs getting out of their reach due to insensitive and illogical decisions like domicile law being slapped on them. Rana advised BJP not to behave like ostrich and get acquainted with ground realities which are not as rosy as they try to paint day in and day out. The close appraisal of the Jammu sensitivity will show them their real face and they will find a huge writing on the wall. The wrath and the anger of the Jammu people is going to manifest in big defeat in the ongoing polls, he said, adding that once betrayed electors cannot be fooled again. He urged the people to remain steadfast in their resolve in fighting divisive and deceptive politics, which has harmed Jammu a lot during the past nearly six years.
“Now time has come for you to make a choice between performers and detractors, who have mastered in falsehood”, Rana said and exhorted the people to vote and support the National Conference, which stands guarantee to peace, tranquillity, development and fulfilment of aspirations of all, irrespective of caste, creed, region or religion.
