| DDC elections: 111 Polling parties leave from Rajouri for Phase IV polling | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Dec 6 : As many as 111 polling parties were today dispatched here from the distribution facilities DIET Rajouri and PG college to respective polling stations for the fourth phase of the DDC/Panchayat By Elections scheduled for Monday.
These included 62 polling parties for Manjakote DDC constituency and 49 for Budhal Old B DDC constituency.
Amid tight security, the polling staff left with Poll material along with COVID safety kits under the supervision of ROs and the Nodal Officer Material Management.
Adequate security personnel from Jammu and Kashmir Police and central paramilitary forces were deployed with the polling parties for the smooth conduct of DDC/Panchayat By polls.
Under this IV phase, polling will be held for DDC seats Budhal Old B and Manjakote and for the Panch and Sarpanch vacancies (whereever notified).
Meanwhile the District Panchayat Election Officer, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh, and Additional Superintendent of Police, Liaqat Choudhary also visited the Distribution facilities to review the arrangements being put in place during the dispatch of the Polling parties. |
